Ayurvedic Foot Reflexology is the dynamic combination of traditional Indian foot massage (Padabhyanga) philosophy and techniques, with that of contemporary reflexology.  The easy integration of these two dynamic therapies produces a unique, relaxing and extremely effective approach to health care.

Marma points are regarded as primary seats of Prana (vital energy) and the stimulation of the marmas during a session, benefits the entire body by supplying specific help to the dhatus, which in Ayurveda are responsible for body structure and function.

The hand techniques that are used on the feet respect the direction in which the subtle energy or Prana, flows in the body.  Vital energy centres (Marmas) are energised, and a traditional, warmed, bronze kata bowl is rubbed on the soles of the feet to aid detoxification and support specific body functions - a wonderful experience!

After having a traumatic birth with my son I had severe back pain which resulted in me not being able to do everyday tasks.

I was referred through the hospital to a physiotherapist who gave me general exercises to do that didn’t help with the chronic pain.

After hearing great reviews about Denise’s healing work I was fortunate that she was visiting Marlborough and was able to see me for an appointment.

Denise did an intuitively guided hands on body and energy healing and I had instant relief from the pain in my back and found it easier to go about daily life.

I’m so grateful for the work that Denise did and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
